On Friday, the Indian benchmark indices experienced significant volatility, but ultimately ended the day on a positive note, thanks to strong gains in the metal and real estate sectors. The BSE Sensex rose by 0.62%, closing at 57,989, while the Nifty 50 index increased by 0.67%, reaching 17,100.
Investors should keep an eye on several large-cap stocks during Monday’s trading session, including Bharti Airtel, which announced an unlimited 5G data promotion for postpaid customers and prepaid customers with data plans costing Rs. 239 or more. The company’s shares, which opened lower, rebounded strongly and ended the session 1.54% higher.
HCL Technologies was the top Sensex gainer, with its shares surging more than 3%. The BSE Information Technology sectoral index also experienced strong buying in some of its components, gaining more than 1%.
Phoenix Mills, on the other hand, announced that its subsidiary, ‘Palladium Construction Private Ltd,’ had acquired prime land in Kolkata’s exclusive area, where it plans to construct a world-class residential development with a saleable area of about 1 million square feet. The BSE Realty index rose over 3%, with Phoenix Mills Ltd’s shares leading the rally by soaring over 5%.
